On July 8th, actress Nakatani Miki made an appearance at the production announcement for her first stage performance, �Ryojuu� (produced and directed by Fran�ois Girard).

This stage play is based on the novel of the same title by Inoue Yasushi and is a romantic love story. Even though this will be the first time Nakatani will be performing in a play, she will be in charge of three roles for this work. Her first performance will be held overseas in Montreal, Canada from September 7th to 10th. Regarding this, Nakatani expressed, �At first, I thought �a person away from home doesn't need to feel shame� but I am somewhat afraid as it is acceptable for foreign audiences to leave the theater if they do not like the contents of the play.� She continued, �Right now, the world continues to observe Japan so I want to convey the strength of the Japanese [with this play].�

The Tokyo performance will occur from October 3rd to 23rd at Shibuya PARCO Theater.
