On July 21st, X-JAPAN's YOSHIKI appeared at a press conference for the American comic, "Blood Red Dragon", at Comic-Con in San Diego.

"Blood Red Dragon" is a story about a rock star who transforms into a superhero after playing a certain note on the piano; he then strives to defeat the powers of darkness. The character was made in YOSHIKI's image, while comic creator�Stan Lee wrote and cartoonist�Todd MacFarlane illustrated the comic.

YOSHIKI, Lee, and MacFarlane appeared in front of an audience of about 2,000 people. It's said that they've already received several offers for a movie adaptation, and that "Blood Red Dragon" could "overthrow Batman!!" Additionally, staff on location distributed an advanced edition with a built-in music chip (featuring music composed by YOSHIKI) to the audience.

Former X bassist TAIJI passed away on July 17th, which drew concerns of YOSHIKI's possible absence from this press conference. However, YOSHIKI strongly emphasized, "Show must go on!"
