On August 3rd, singer Kobayashi Sachiko (57) held a singing event to celebrate her 32nd year as a singer at the Nishinomiya Gardens shopping center in Hyogo prefecture.
Kobayashi enthusiastically sang three songs in front of 1,200 fans, including her 1979 hit song Omoide Sake and the song she recorded on March 11th (the day of the Tohoku Earthquake) called Onna no Sakeba. It feels like Ive returned to where I began. I am happy that I can closely see the faces of all of my guests, she said.
Commenting on the damage to her hometown in Niigata prefecture caused by the heavy rain, she appeared worried as she expressed, I promise to bring rice to disaster areas from my own field after the rice harvest in October, but I do not know if this is still feasible.
