We previously reported that Kuraki Mai would be singing the Japanese national anthem at a charity match between Nadeshiko Japan (Japan Women's National Soccer Team) and a team compiled of players from the Nadeshiko League. As a 'nadeshiko' of the music industry, Kuraki Mai beautifully sang the national anthem in front of a huge crowd at the National Stadium in Tokyo.

Afterwards, Kuraki commented, "I sang with the hope that the players and the supporters can all work together in delivering some happiness to the victims of the recent disasters."

This marks Kuraki's second time singing the national anthem at a charity soccer match; the first was at a men's charity game. She received this offer once again because of her spectacular performance which had drawn much praise and interest.
