AKB48�s Shimada Haruka (18) vowed on August 20th to take the center position in AKB48�s 24th Single, which will be determined by a �Janken Tournament� on September 20th.

Shimada doesn�t have an easy road, her first match is with Kuramochi Asuka (21) and the other contestants in her block are fan favorites like Minegishi Minami (18), Miyazawa Sae (21), and SKE48�s Matsui Jurina (14). However, Shimada isn�t nervous, �If I can, my goal is to get center,� she declared.

The tournament is one month away and last year�s Janken winner, Uchida Mayumi (17), declared she would get center in the same way. Shimada is very eager to make this the second year in a row where the juniors dominate their seniors.

Shimada was together with Takeuchi Miyu (15) and Nakamura Mariko (17) for an event to promote restaurants.
