Special exhibition to be held to celebrate 40th anniversary of 'Lupin the 3rd'!

In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Monkey Punch�s manga turned anime 'Lupin the 3rd', �there will be an exhibition called 'Lupin Sanseiten~This is the world of Lupin the 3rd~',�from August 10 until the August 22, at the�MATSUYA GINZA department store,

This is the first full-scale exhibition event for 'Lupin the 3rd'. �The public will have access to the almost 200 pieces of work related to 'Lupin the 3rd', including the original manga, TV anime, and movie. �Many historical documents pertaining to the manga including nearly 100 pieces of Monkey Punch�s hand-drawn artwork and raw manuscripts from the original manga as well as the colored frontispiece of the first and last episodes of the manga will be exhibited.

The�exhibition�will be introduce nearly 50 image cells from parts 1 through 3 of the TV anime series. Also, there will be a line-up of cuts from the representative film works of 'Lupin VS Kuron'�(Mystery of Mamo) and 'Kariosutoro no Shiro' (The Castle of Cagliostro.) �Furthermore, fans will be able to take a glimpse of some behind-the-scenes�activities�with 40 items that have never left the studio namely, the initial plans, actual images, and layouts used for the anime series.

Finally, there are plans to sell about 300 items, such as original figurines, mugs, postcards, and stationary to the general public. �For manga lovers, don�t miss book designer Sobue Shin�s�exhibition�design. �The anniversary�exhibition�lasts only 13 days, it is a can't miss event for all fans of the anime.
