On August 18th, actor Watanabe Ken (51) promoted his upcoming movie �Shanghai� (directed by Mikael Hafstrom) in Osaka.
�Shanghai� is a suspense movie featuring the city of Shanghai during the Pacific War with various conspiracies along with the men and women who gets swallowed into the plot. Watanabe will play a navy intelligence officer with a logical character, he commented about this movie, �This movie left me with the feeling of �tiny, poisoned needles slowly prickling� me.�
On the other hand, Watanabe, who is known to be a passionate fan of the Hanshin Tigers (baseball team based in western Japan), talked about their match against the Hiroshima Carps on the 17th. Regarding Hanshin�s loss, he said, �Don�t you think the problem of the game was that they were replacing players when they should've been left alone?� giving his candid opinion about the game.
�Shanghai� will be released in theaters on the 20th.
