It's been reported that rock band HiGE has changed their label to Nippon Columbia, and will be releasing their first album in a year and five months. While the album is currently untitled, it's scheduled to be released on December 7th.
HiGE is a 6-man band comprised of Hisashi Suto (Vo, G), Tomoyuki Miyakawa (B), Koichi "Koteisui" Sato (D), Shigekazu "Aigon" Aida (G), Yuki Saito (G), and Hirotoshi "Filipo" Kawasaki (D). They made their indies debut in 2003 with the album, "LOVE LOVE LOVE", and made their major debut under Victor Entertainment in 2005 with the album, "Thank you, Beatles". In November 2007, they released their album, "Chaos in Apple", which ranked 25th in the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking.
To collaborate with their label change, the band is releasing an album that will be entirely produced by the members themselves. More details will be announced on their official website at a later date.
HiGE will be performing at the Hibiya Outdoors Music Hall on September 23rd. Additionally, they will be holding a 3-day live at SHIBUYA CLUB QUATTRO from December 2nd to the 4th.
Stay tuned for more details on this upcoming release!
