Kegawa no Maries announce their disbandment after nationwide tour

Rock band Kegawa no Maries has announced that they will be disbanding after their nationwide tour. The band formed nearly 9 years ago, and are slated to release their last album, "THE END", on September 7th.

The news was officially announced by vocalist Shima Ryouhei through a nationwide radio broadcast on the night of September 6th. He reported, "Good evening everyone, this is Kegawa no Maries. Right now, it is September 7th, 12:00 am. From now, our 3rd album will go on sale. The title is 'THE END'. With this album -- which was recorded at Abbey Road -- we will stop our activities and disband after the final performance of our tour. I will say it again. Our 3rd album is titled 'THE END'. After this album and tour, we, Kegawa no Maries, will disband."

Prior to this announcement, a sticker saying "LAST ALBUM" was put on copies of 'THE END' in stores. The album comes in both limited and regular editions with a special message by Shima.

Kegawa no Maries is scheduled to hold their nationwide tour titled, "Kegawa no Maries TOUR 2011 'Who Killed Marie?'", starting October 8th, with its finale at Nippon Budokan on December 5th. Tickets will be available to the public starting September 10th. Meanwhile, tickets for the Nippon Budokan performance will go on sale starting October 1st.
