As reported earlier, Watsuki Kazuhiro's popular manga "Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Kenkaku Romantan-" will be released as a live-action movie starring Sato Takeru. �Although it was also announced that Takei Emi would be taking the role of heroine "Kamiya Kaoru", the other cast members were still unknown. �However, today, it was revealed that Aoi Yu, Aoki Munetaka, and Tanaka Taketo have been added to the cast members.

Aoi's role will be for a doctor named "Takani Megumi" who is reluctantly steeped in vice but starts changing after meeting Kenshin. �Aoi commented, "I feel comfortable at the shoot since many staff members are from 'Ryomaden' team, including the director. �Some days ago, I was able to see Kenshin's sword battle scene, and it was wonderful. �So, I would like to try my best until the end without losing the vigor as well."



Aoki will be playing "Sagara Sanosuke" who was a former street fighter, but becomes Kenshin's partner. Tanaka's role will be "Myojin Yahiko" who is a student of Kamiya Dojo, and adores Kenshin. �For Tanaka, this will be the first time to make an appearance in a movie.



The live-action movie of "Rurouni Kenshin" is scheduled to be released in summer of 2012.
