Recently, it was revealed that singer-songwriter Nakajima Miyuki will be singing the theme song for the upcoming drama, "Nankyoku Tairiku", which stars SMAP's Kimura Takuya.

The drama will be the�most expensive drama in the history of TBS. It�will portray the harsh day-to-day life and interactions between the members of the Antarctic research expedition team�and their Sakhalin Huskies. Nakajima commented, "By imagining the dogs' feelings, I was able to write the lyrics about the members of the expedition team."

For her 42nd single, "Kouya Yori", Nakajima will team up with Kimura for the very first time. Producer Ishimaru Akihiko was the one who proposed this offer to Nakajima, and he confessed, "Nakajima Miyuki-san is the�only person who is able to strongly express the story of Japan, who never gave up recovery efforts 10 years after the war." He continued, "I am excited to hear the chorus playing in the drama."

"Nankyoku Tairiku" will air every Sunday at 9PM starting in October.
