It's been revealed that AKB48's official rival group Nogizaka46 will be holding their very first event in Tokyo on September 25th!

The event will be a "member selection event", where the members will introduce themselves in front of the fans, to see which one will be the fans' favorite. Participants will each choose one 'oshimen' out of the group, and they will get to shake hands with that member to receive the "fan no akashi (proof of being a fan)". The "fan no akashi" will be a valuable passport that will link Nogizaka46 to their fans.

Nogizaka46's official website is currently accepting applications for participation to the event. The deadline is set to September 30th at 12:00 am.
