On September 11th, Shirota Yu held a release event to celebrate the release of his latest single, "Setsuna ~a sandglass of fate~", at LaQua Garden Stage in Tokyo Dome.

The single was written, composed, and arranged by Shirota himself. During the event, he shared his thoughts on producing the song, which holds the themes of 'passion' and 'tragic love'; he also revealed an unknown episode from his musical, "Romeo & Juliet". In addition, Shirota talked about the song "Love & Peace", which expresses his feelings for the victims of the Tohoku Earthquake.

Shirota held a handshake event with about 700 fans who purchased the single. He politely shook each hand, and spoke a few words to each of the fans.
