September 18 marked the end of the this year's Tokyo Game Show 2011 at Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba, Japan. The show was held over four days, with the first two days only for industry people and the last two days open for the public.

Over this past weekend TGS pulled in a record breaking 87,251 people on Saturday and 83,744 people on Sunday; combined with the industry days, the show has a combined turnout of 222,668 people. In 2009, the show attracted a turnout of 185,030 attendees, while 2010 raked in 207,647 attendees.

TGS showcases the biggest and smallest gaming companies in the industry, with each company exibiting their upcoming games and consoles to both industry and fans alike.
