On October 16th, 16 lucky girls passed the final stage of auditions for SKE48's 5th generation member search.

5,988 girls sent in their applications, and 84 of them proceeded onto the final stage. After going through exams that tested their dance and vocal skills, 16 girls were chosen as unofficial members.

Producer Akimoto Yasushi commented, "Congratulations on becoming unofficial members. You have now become a part of SKE48's 5th generation, so combine your power and do your best." Meanwhile, SKE48's manager Hiroshi Yuasa firmly stated, "The real difficult part starts now. I want them to have self-awareness and move forward."

The 16 ladies will continue with lessons, and after their progress gets observed, will move on to becoming 'official' 5th generation members of SKE48.
