Downtown's Matsumoto Hitoshi will be reuniting with his comedy partner, Hamada Masatoshi, for his new regular skit show on NHK called "Matsumoto Hitoshi no Conte MHK".

The two of them haven't been together on a skit show for more than 10 years, and they've never performed any skits on NHK before.

Producer Matsui Shuhei assured fans that they'll be rolling on the floor with laughter over Downtown's hilarious act. "There is no way you aren't going to laugh, because they both went to their limits with their determination to make you laugh, and prepared everything right down to the last detail," he said.

The skit they prepared for the show has the title 'Only', and features Hamada as an actor called 'Hamada Masatoshi', while Matsumoto will portray a director. They're just about finished filming a big project, with only one scene left to go. That last scene has the actor saying just a single word and nothing more, but things aren't going as planned for the director. Will the director be able to say his 'OK!'?

Producer Matsui revealed that Matsumoto sighed when he was told that Hamada would play the part of the actor. He said, "We didn't plan to have Matsumoto say Hamada's name during the skit, but we've changed our minds in order to make it more exciting." Therefore, the staff immediately inserted Hamada's name into the script once he was cast, making Matsumoto sigh even more.

Matsumoto commented, "I was seeing nothing but Hamada's name in every line!"

Meanwhile, Hamada gave his ready consent for the show, as he expressed, "I was abusing Matsumoto quite a bit (during the skit), so he is going to have no problems from now on."

The first episode of "Matsumoto Hitoshi no Conte MHK" with this guest appearance by Hamada will air at 11:30 pm on November 5th. There are five episodes planned in total, with NHK airing a new one every month.
