Actress Koizumi Kyoko will be star in her first drama in a decade, WOWOW's new drama series 'Shokuzai'. �The drama begins airing in January 2012.

Based on the novel by Minato Kanae, whose best selling novel "Kokuhaku" was made into movie with starring Matsu Takako in�2010, the story has a dark revenge theme. Koizumi took a role of a mother(Masako)�whose elementary school daughter(Emiri) has been killed. Koizumi�also played a role� as a powerful and cheerfull�mother in the movie "Mainichi Ka-san" (February 2010 released), but with this drama, she played a serious mother who has darkness in her mind.

The story started�from the time�Emiri has been kid napped and killed by a guy. Emiri was�playing around�with her 4�friends just before she�waskilled. Those 4 girls saw�the�murder's face.�However, they couldn't remember his face clearly, so�that murder case became wrapped in mystery, and�Emiri's mother(Koizumi) torture those 4 girls severely.
