Actress Matsushita Nao will be gracing the small screens again in Fuji TV's upcoming drama, "Hayami-san to Yobareru Hi" (tentative title).

"Hayami-san to Yobareru Hi" is a home drama that depicts the growth of a young woman who strives to become a capable wife.

Matsushita will play the lead role of 'Kanai Yuriko', the daughter of a corporate executive and full-time housewife. Although she exceeds in her studies and work, she is incapable of doing any type of housework. 'Yuriko' falls in love with the eldest son of the Hayami family, and gets married thinking they can enjoy a newlywed life on their own. However, her husband's family is poor, and his mother has disappeared, which forces her to face adversity as she settles in with her husband's father and brothers.

Mizuno Ayako from the planning team showed confidence in the drama saying, "The heroine enters the poor family of 5 men, and does her best while thinking, 'I'm embarrassed that I'm unable to do anything'. She then realizes that she has grown to be a powerful wife. The only person who could play that character, and be admired by everyone was Matsushita-san."

Meanwhile, Matsushita expressed, "Although this is my first time playing the role of a present day housewife, I want to do my best to become 'Hayami-san's wife' as soon as possible."

Before the drama starts airing in January of next year, Matsushita's character, 'Yuriko', will make a guest appearance in the special drama for "Marumo no Okite". She will show up at the izakaya the Marumo family frequents as a mysterious office lady, where she starts a conversation with Ashida Mana and Suzuki Fuku's characters. "Marumo no Okite" Special will air on October 9th.
