Recently,�Yamashita Tomohisa's younger sister, Yamashita Rina, posted an apology on her blog for the comments she made about her brother's withdrawal from NEWS.

On October 10th, she wrote, "I want everyone to understand his endurance over these past eight years� I think he's faced many things way beyond my imagination..."

This upset many NEWS fans, who responded with, "What has he endured?" and "You're making fools of the fans."

Taken aback by the uproar, Rina apologized and said, "I am very sorry that I have caused displeasure and trouble to many people because of my inappropriate statement. My brother never talks to me about his work. Despite this, I selfishly described it in that way. Please accept my sincere apologies."
