AKB48 announced some unfortunate news earlier when they revealed that Kashiwagi Yuki was being treated at a hospital. It looks like another member has fallen to illness, as Team A's Sashihara Rino will not be attending the "Kaze was Fuiteiru" handshake event today.

The idol was scheduled to be at Makuhari Messe hall along with the other members of AKB48, but was forced to withdraw from the event due to her health.

Sashihara wrote in her blog:

�I was able to rest today.

I�m really sorry to everyone who was looking forward to today.

I wanted to appear at the handshake event, but it was hard for me to stand. This is such a busy time for us and I didn�t want to cause more problems by infecting the other members [with what I have]. So, I decided to rest.

I�m really sorry.�
