Popular group Arashi's 36th single, "Meikyu Love Song" has sold a total of 530,000 copies in its first week of release and thus achieved the top spot on this week's Oricon weekly chart.

This will be Arashi's 25th consecutive number one single since the release of "PIKA??NCHI DOUBLE" back in 2004. In terms of overall number one appearances on the singles chart, Arashi currently has the third most (with 32 releases) behind B'z with 45 and Hamasaki Ayumi with 37 single chart toppers.

The currently released single, "Meikyu Love Song" is being used as the theme song for Sakurai Sho's drama "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de". Aside from the title song, the first day limited edition has their new song "Kienu Omoi" as well as the music video for the title track. The regular version features 3 unreleased songs, "together,forever", "Utakata", and "wanna be...", �that aren't included in the first day limited edition.
