NMB48 has announced that they will be holding a fan voting to decide the return of members Shimada Rena and Matsuda Shiori.

Shimada put a halt to her activities back in September after a pre-NMB purikura scandal rocked headlines. Meanwhile,�Matsuda decided to suspend her activities due to personal insecurities.

According to sources, the staff recently suggested, "Maybe it�s okay to start lessons to resume performances." However, the girls felt unsure about how the fans would react to their return. They explained, "We want to return to NMB48, but we feel regret towards the fans who supported us. Can we really come back?"

Therefore, the company decided to involve the fans by holding a vote determining their return. If the fans vote in favor of Shimada and Matsuda�s return, they will immediately resume their lessons to participate in NMB48�s theater performance on New Year�s Day.

All members of the NMB48 Ticket Center can vote until December 3rd�at 11:59 PM JST. Furthermore, information concerning member Yoshida Akari will be announced separately.
