The upcoming violent and somewhat humorous film, "Tokyo Playboy Club", already received quite some attention after it was screened at the '16th Busan International Film Festival' earlier this year in Korea. Today, they gave the general public a nice tease for the eyes and the ears, as they've released the first trailer.

"Tokyo Playboy Club" is directed by a new director and features Omori Nao, Mitsuishi Ken, and Usuda Asami in the main roles. Furthermore they used "Power Of The World" from popular rock band Elephant Kashimashi as the ending theme, in order to boost up the sweet mixture of violence and humor even more. Said song can also be heard throughout the trailer.

The film is set in the underworld of Tokyo, but it's not just using dark and serious scenes to portray the shadow of the metropolis. The 25-year-old newcomer Okuda Yosuke created a perfect mis-match of youthful freshness and mellow desolation. Fans of the genre are expected to love the off-beat style of the film. Okuda also revealed that he is a big fan of the Coen brothers, Fukasaku Kinji, and Quentin Tarantino. In the trailer you can see the influence from his role models.

Okuda won the grand prize at a well-known competition for Japanese first-time directors at the 'Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival'. Famed Hong Kong film director, Johnnie To, was one of the judges and commented, "It's the arrival of one really astonishing director."

Thanks to his talent and the praises, he was able to cast some really well-known actors for "Tokyo Playboy Club". Omori and Mitsuishi are two amazing actors, who already appeared in various violent films, while the dazzling Usuda is going to make her debut in this genre.

Enough with the introduction. Scroll down and check out the first trailer for "Tokyo Playboy Club".
