On December 9th, Johnny's Jr. group A.B.C-Z held a press conference for their stage play, "ABC-za Star Theater", where they announced that they would be making their debut next year. A.B.C-Z will debut with a DVD, making them the first Johnny's group to debut in this manner.
Regarding the DVD debut, member Kawai Fumito commented, "We thought that the people who will watch our performances will know our greatness, so we asked Johnny-san (President Kitagawa)." He also stated,"It's the era of smart phones, so I think it's important to 'show'." Meanwhile Tsukada Ryoichi showed his ambition saying, "I want it to be available for listening at CD shops, and I want both the sound and video to air throughout the store. I want the customers to be interested in it."
All contents of the DVD will be ideas that the members suggested themselves. Along with songs, the DVD will contain acrobatic dance and other features that will give the appeal of the group to many people.
A.B.C-Z plans to release the DVD before opening their stage play, "ABC-za Star Theater", on February 4th. The DVD will be released under Johnny's Entertainment.
