On November 30th, the winners of "The 40th Best Dresser Award" was announced at the official ceremony.

Actress Kichise Michiko (36) and Shounentai's�Higashiyama Noriyuki (40) were chosen as this year's winners for the 'entertainment category'. Kichise commented, "I'm almost 40-years old. I want to become a woman who suits simple and high-quality clothing." Meanwhile, Higashiyama shared that he does 1,000 sit-ups a day in order to keep his debut weight. Laughing, he admitted, "It's strange to be continuing it though."

In the 'sports category', former golfer Koga Miho was named as the best dressed athlete. She revealed, "Of course, functionality is number one. If it's clothing that I don't like, it puts me in the wrong mood. So I try to choose clothes that as much functionality as possible." Additionally, Terry Ito, who received the 'special award' expressed, "To receive such an award, I'm very happy."

The "Best Dresser Award" was established by the�Japan Men's Fashion Unity to bring awareness to fashion by recognizing people with fashion sense. The winners are chosen based on 4 criteria: independence, prevalence, age, and humanity. Previous winners include Sawamura Ikki, Takei Emi, Tsuchiya Anna, Takahashi Katsunori, Ichihara Hayato, Ueto Aya, Yakusho Kouji, Kikukawa Rei, and Oda Yuji.
