44MAGNUM's PAUL to leave band to focus on treatment for Parkinson's disease
Heavy metal band 44MAGNUM vocalist Umehara "PAUL" Tatsuya has revealed that he will be leaving the band to focus on treatment for Parkinson's Disease.
Since being diagnosed with Parkinson's back in 2005, PAUL has been battling this incurable disease while continuing his music activities. Although he was able to control his solo activities, he felt that he wouldn't be able to keep up with the band with his condition. Because of this, PAUL has decided to leave the band to focus on treatment for the disease.
PAUL has no plans to quit singing, nor does he plan to retire from the music industry. He will participate in recordings and will continue to provide songs for 44MAGNUM. When the time is right, PAUL will once again stand on stage with the band.
