It was revealed that idol group AKB48 is starring in a TV CM in Taiwan which just started airing on January 17th. �This is the first time for AKB48 to star in a TV CM overseas.

The CM the girls are starring in is for 7-ELEVEN Taiwan, and is titled "Dragon year fashion show version." �In the CM, eight members of AKB48 (Maeda Atsuko, Oshima Yuko, Kashiwagi Yuki, Sashihara Rino, Takajo Aki, Takahashi Minami, Miyazawa Sae, and Yokoyama Yui) show the original dance using their hit song "Heavy Rotation" as the CM song, and introduce Sanrio's accessaries in Mandarin.

Kashiwagi commented, "I'm happy since this is AKB48's first CM overseas.", while Yokoyama said, "Since I've never been to Taiwan, it feels strange that our CM visits Taiwan before us." �Sashihara also said, "I'm quite interested in Taiwan. �I would love to learn more about their wonderful culture and entertainment."

There will also be the second and the third versions of the CM later.
