Gravure idol & actress Otsuka Mae is getting married
One of Japan's most popular gravure idols, Otsuka Mae (31), who topped Amazon's 2011 ranking for gravure/image DVDs, announced on her blog that she is going to get married. The wedding ceremony is planned for the end of March.
Otsuka is marrying a Japanese man (31) who works as an advisor for a Non-Governmental Organization that supports street children in Bangladesh. She first met him three years ago when she went to Bangladesh for work and started going out with him after she happened to met him again in Japan. After being in a long-distance relationship with him for quite some time, she eventually had become so charmed by his way of life that she finally decided to tie the knot. In her announcement she also made it clear that she's currently not pregnant.
She commented, "You only have one life and in order to live it without any regrets, I'd like to live the life I've chosen for myself together with the most precious person in my life to the fullest."
Her newest and final gravure photobook 'Gekkan NEO Otsuka Mae first & last nude' will go on sale on February 27th. She will be living in Bangladesh with her husband and while she's not going to participate in gravure anymore, she still plans to come back to her home country on a frequent basis in order to continue her career as an actress.
On March 11th, Otsuka is going to commemorate the release of her photobook with a fan event at the Shosen Book Tower in Akihabara, Tokyo.
