It's been revealed that Kora Kengo and Yoshitaka Yuriko will be starring in the upcoming film, "Yokomichi Yonosuke".

Kora and Yoshitaka had previously co-starred together in the 2008 movie, "Hebi ni Pierce". Kora expressed, "It would make me happy if we could reunite like old friends." As for Yoshitaka, she said, "I'm very excited, but I'm worried that I haven't matured since then. While building a trustworthy relationship with Kora-san, I want to create a good movie."

"Yokomichi Yonosuke" will be directed by Okita Shuichi, whose most recent works include "Kitsutsuki no Ame" and "Nankyoku Ryorinin". Its story is set in the 1980's and will focus on a college freshman named 'Yokomichi Yonosuke'.

After reading the script, Kora revealed, "It's interesting! I really like Yonosuke, and I want to play the role no matter what." He also demonstrated his enthusiasm to start filming by saying, "I can't help but be excited because with�director�Okita's movies, the scenes during filming become more exciting than when they're read in the script."

Director Okita commented, "The original story is very interesting, and I laughed many times while reading it. It was really good. I usually film older people, but I've always wanted to try a movie that starred many young people."

He added, "The original story contains stories from the 80's and the present. I feel that things haven't changed much since my university days. I hope to portray that unchanging youth through this film."

The film will be based on a novel of the same name that was serialized in�Mainichi Shimbun Gekkan from April of 2008 to March of 2009. Director Okita and author Maeda Shirou will be in charge of the script, and filming will kick off in late-March.

"Yokomichi Yonosuke" is scheduled to open in theaters in 2013.
