Kanjani 8 member, Nishikido Ryo will star in new TBS drama 'Papa wa Idol!' (working title) which will start airing in this April. �Nishikido's role will be himself, an idol who belongs to Johnny's Jimusho.

This drama is a remake of TBS drama, 'Mama wa Idol!' which was aired in 1987 starring Nakayama Miho, and though they changed the protagonist as female to male, the setting of the drama will be the same as previous one in which an idol marries somebody who has three kids.

In the drama, Nishikido Ryo marries a single mother who has three kids; however, his agency tells him, "Divorce or retire within 3 months ... if the public finds it out, you have to retire right away." �His activities as an idol continues while hiding his marriage to both the fans and even other Kanjani 8 members.

Tolento�Yuka will be playing Nishikido's wife, and the oldest daughter will be played by Kawashima Umika. �Other Kanjani 8 members will also make appearance as themselves.
