On February 1st, rock band Remioromen announced through their official website that they will be going on hiatus.

The members experimented with different styles and ideas after celebrating their 10-year anniversary last year. As a result, they've decided to go pursue different paths with music for the time being.

Fujimaki Ryota (Vo, G) will make his solo debut on February 29th with the single, "Hikari wo Atsumete". Meanwhile,�Maeda Keisuke (B) plans to focus on his activities as a producer and composer. Jinguji Osamu (Dr) will also be involved in various projects.

Remioromen formed in December of 2000, and made their major debut in August of 2003. Their song "Konayuki" sold over 1 million copies, which lead them to make their first appearance on the "Kohaku Uta Gassen" in 2009. For their 10th year anniversary, Remioromen released their self-produced album, "Kachi Fugetsu", and held concerts in all 47 prefectures in Japan.
