On February 29th, Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 member Nakagawa Haruka announced through the group's official blog that she will be undergoing surgery for vocal cord nodules.

Vocal cord nodules are noncancerous growths on the vocal cords that are usually caused by vocal abuse. This causes one's voice to become hoarse and holds them back from singing in higher pitches.

Nakagawa wrote, "At this time, it's been decided that I will be having surgery. Since I have nodules on both of my vocal cords, it will hinder me from using my voice. The doctor told me that the surgery is a very safe process."

She continued, "I'm a little anxious, but I want to get better so that I can sing and dance with everyone! I will be taking a break from work for a little while, but I will be back soon!"

Although Nakagawa will have to recuperate for a short while after the surgery, Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 will continue their activities.
