A first teaser for the upcoming movie "Yamikin Ushijima-kun", directed by Yamaguchi Masatoshi, was recently revealed on its official website.

The movie is based on Manabe Shouhei's manga of the same title, which has been serialized in the manga magazine 'Weekly Big Comic Spirits' since 2004. It has sold a total of over 5 million copies, and won the "56th Shogakukan Manga Award" in 2010.

"Yamikin Ushijima-kun" revolves around 'Ushijima Kaoru', the head of the black market lending company called 'Kaukau Finance', and the unfortunate lives of people in debt. Just like the drama which aired in 2010, the movie will depict a wide range of themes from the gap between the rich and poor, the collapse of moral values, and the loss of Japanese values. When it comes to the bottom of society, everything turns into survival of the fittest. "Money, either you take it away from others or it's getting taken away from you," to say in the words of the protagonist.

'Ushijima Kaoru' is played by Yamada Takayuki. Also appearing in the movie are AKB48's Oshima Yuko, Hayashi Kento, Arai Hirofumi, and others.

"Yamikin Ushijima-kun" is slated for a release on August 25th.
