To commemorate the release of her upcoming single, "CANDY CANDY", model-turned-singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu held her first live concert in Hong Kong. This was part of the 'Genki na Nihon Exhibition', which was held at Kowloonbay International Trade &�Exhibition Centre from March 23rd to the 27th.

The 'Genki na Nihon Exhibition' was held to thank the people of Hong Kong for supporting Japan after the Tohoku Earthquake. It was also held as a campaign to promote Japan's latest trends.

Kyary's first Hong Kong performance was held on the 27th for about 700 people. Amidst the entrance song and the roaring of the crowd, Kyary made her appearance with 4 kid dancers in Harajuku fashion.

After singing her first song, Kyary introduced herself in Japanese, "I'm Kyary Pamyu Pamyu!". She then said to her fans, "I'm going to sing all kinds of songs, so please liven things up with me!".

Before Kyary could jump into her next song, someone from the crowd asked, "Kyary-chan, was the watermelon good?" They�were referring to a recent photo she uploaded onto her Twitter account. In response, Kyary said, "That's right, I ate watermelon and dragonfruit earlier. It was good."



During her final song, "Tsukema Tsukeru", Kyary called out to her fans, "Everyone, please stand up! Let's dance together!" The crowd of 700 people immediately stood up and danced together with the singer.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will release her 2nd single, "CANDY CANDY", on April 4th.
