On February 29th, it was announced that Mizuki Alisa will star in TV Asahi's new detective drama, "Answer~Keishichou Kenshou Sousakan". This will be Mizuki's 24th starring drama, and surprisingly, she has been taking the lead role in drama series for 21 consecutive years.
Though Mizuki has been playing so many different roles, she has never played a detective role. She commented, "This will be my first role as a detective, and I get a vibe (from detective dramas) that they use many difficult words, so I want to get used to it as soon as possible.". She also said, "Personally, I like watching detective dramas, so I felt like 'I finally got offered a detective role!'", and showed her enthusiasm.
Mizuki will be playing a female detective at theMetropolitan Police Department, "Shinkai Akira." Though she was an elite, she taken off the highroad to success due to one incident, and was demoted to "Kenshou Sousa-gakari," also called the "obstacle section" of the crime squad 1department. Originally, this section takes on the important role of re-inspecting cases in order to prevent false accusations, but instead all the members do is place a stamp on written reports. Akira however, finds a small issue on the charge sheets, and starts a serious inspection to find the real criminals. About the role, Mizuki said, "Though she is a very sharp woman, she is somehow strange too. By expressing those peculiar parts of her personality well, I would like to be able to make alovablecharacter."
"Answer~Keishichou Kenshou Sousakan" will start airing in April (every Wednesday at 9:00 pm).
