Fuji TV announced that they are going to air special drama called 'Shicho Shisu', starring actor Sorimachi Takashi.

'Shicho Shisu' is a short story from Matsumoto Seicho's compilation, 'Seishun no Hoko - Matsumoto Seicho Tanpen Zenshu'. Sorimachi plays 'Kasagi Kozo', a popular florist and member of the city council, whose uncle, the mayor of the city, suddenly disappears on duty and several days later is found dead in a hot spring.

Knowing his hard-working uncle, 'Kasagi' becomes suspicious of his disappearance and death, and decides to find out the truth with the help of his uncle's housekeeper 'Sumiko'. He soon finds the diary of his uncle and learn about the existence of a woman called 'Yoshiko'. Together with 'Sumiko', he pays a visit to the hot spring where his corpse was found.

'Yoshiko' is played by Kimura Tae, the dead uncle by Issey Ogata, and 'Sumiko' by Baisho Mitsuko. Further actor Ishiguro Ken is going to appear in the special drama as well.

Said story was already adapted into a drama in 1959 and is now going to return as a special drama to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Matsumoto's death.

'Shicho Shisu' is scheduled to air on Fuji TV at 9:00 p.m. on April 3rd.
