Actor Abe Sadao and actress Kanno Miho will be playing a married couple in a new movie titled 'Kiseki no Ringo'.

The movie is based on a non-fiction novel by Ishikawa Takuji, which has sold an exceptional 260,000 copies. It will be directed by�Nakamura Yoshihiro, who is known for 'Team Bautista no Eikou'.

'Kiseki no Ringo' is about an actual apple farmer named Kimura Akinori (Abe) and his wife Mieko (Kanno) of Aomori. Due to his wife's allergic reactions to pesticides, Kimura starts producing organic apples, without any pesticides or fertilizers.�This story became widely known in Japan when it was picked up on NHK's 'Professional Shigoto no Ryugi' back in 2006.

Kimura, who will appear in the movie as an extra, was moved by the story and said, "I'm surprised that my life will be turned into a movie." He also commented,�"I pray that the message 'don't give up' will be delivered through this film."

Abe expressed, "Kimura-san's atmosphere, I don't think it's an easy thing to bring out. I want to study a lot, and nurture [myself] with my co-stars and staff in order to make a wonderful 'Akinori'."

Meanwhile, Kanno said, "Since my parents come from Iwate, where they make apples, I feel like [me being in the film] is some kind of fate."

Along with Abe and Kanno, the movie will star Yamazaki Tsutomu and Harada Mieko. The music will be provided by Hisashi Joe.

'Kiseki no Ringo' is scheduled to open in theaters sometime in 2013.
