On April 3rd, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu held a handshake event at Lazona Kawasaki to commemorate the release of her latest single, "CANDY CANDY".

Along with the handshake event, Kyary was scheduled to hold a live on this day, however, it was canceled due to a storm. At one point, the staff thought about canceling the entire event altogether, but decided to carry on as they received many inquiries from the fans.

Despite the strong rain and wind, about 500 people gathered at the event. Kyary expressed, "Thank you so much for coming in the storm." She then called out to the fans,�"It's unfortunate that I couldn't hold a live, but please let me shake each and every one of your hands with affection."

During the event, Kyary also excited the fans by announcing the release of her first album, "Pamyu Pamyu Revolution".
