Matsuda Seiko has announced that she will be releasing her new single, "Namida no Shizuku", on May 2nd!

The title track will be used as the image song for the upcoming film, 'Waga Haha no Ki', which will open in theaters nationwide on April 28th. This movie is based on Inoue Yasushi's novel, 'Waga Haha no Ki ~Hana no Shita. Tsuki no Hikari. Yuki no Omote', and stars Yakusho Koji,�Kiki Kirin, Miyazaki Aoi, Minami Kaho, Kimura Midoriko, Mimura, Kikuchi Akiko, Miura Takahiro, Mano Erina, and Mikuni Rentaro.

"Namida no Shizuku" is written, composed, and produced by Matsuda herself. Regarding the song, she commented, "After watching the movie, I was moved by its excellence that I was overwhelmed with emotion and I couldn't get out of my chair for some time. After that, I was absorbed in writing the song and lyrics."

Additionally, Matsuda will kick off her nationwide tour, 'SEIKO MATSUDA CONCERT TOUR 2012', on June 10th. She will hold a total of 9 concerts in 6 locations.
