Talento Rola's solo debut song, "Memories", has been chosen as the theme song for Pokemon's 15th anniversary film, 'Pocket Monsters Best Wishes! The Movie:Kyurem vs. the Sacred Swordsman: Keldeo'!
Rola will also be lending her voice for the movie as the character Marine, a naive young girl who meets Satoshi (Ash) and his friends during their adventure. She enthusiastically stated, "Starting today, I will eat lots of honey so that my throat won't be dry on the day of the recording!"
Claiming to be a Pokemon fan since childhood, Rola showed her excitement stating, "I played a lot of games, and I love Pikachu. When I heard I was going to be singing the theme song, I was very happy! Very happy happy! Everyone, please listen to my song together. Also, please come and watch the movie!"
She expressed her joy after taking photos with Pikachu, saying, "I'm surprised to find out that he's so big. His face is big, he's so cute!"
Regarding Rola's song, director Yuyama Kunihiko commented, "Even before I heard it, I saw the title, and it had a magnificent image. When I actually heard it, I felt it was perfect for the movie."
"Memories" will be released sometime in July and will mark Rola's solo CD debut. 'Pocket Monsters Best Wishes! The Movie:Kyurem vs. the Sacred Swordsman: Keldeo' will open in theaters nationwide on July 14th.
