On May 2nd, 17 artists, including Koizumi Kyoko (46), performed at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo for the Imawano Kiyoshiro Rocknroll Show. The show was held on the anniversary of rocknroll artist Imawano Kiyoshiros death. (Imawano passed away at the age of 58 in 2009.)
Koizumi entered the stage with Hamazaki Takashi (46), the original vocalist of rock band FLYING KIDS. They sang RC SUCCESSIONs 1982 song Tsu?ki?a?i?ta?i and another songwith great enthusiasm. The performance brought back memories of their 2003 collaborative performance experience with Kiyoshiro in Tokyo. Reminiscing on the past, he stated, We all ate okonomiyaki together.
This marks the second commemorative concert held for Kiyoshiro. Tortoise Matsumoto (45), Yoshii Kazuya (45), and Yano Akiko (57) were also among the artists that participated in the event.
