Rock band ART-SCHOOL has transferred to Ki/oon Music, and will be releasing a new album this summer.
After bassist Uno Takeshi and drummer Suzuki Hiroyuki left the band, ART-SCHOOL was left with vocalist Kinoshita Riki and guitarist Todaka Masafumi. On May 21st, the band held a free live, 'DAY OF THE DEAD', at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO with their new support members, bassist Nakao Kentaro and drummer Fujita Isamu.
ART-SCHOOL's first album after their label transfer will also be the band's first original album in 3 years. The recording is taking place at Steve Albini's studio, 'Electrical Audio', in Chicago. No other details have been revealed at this time.
Additionally, On June 2nd and 3rd, ART-SCHOOL will be holding an event called 'KINOSHITA NIGHT 2012' to kick off their new band formation. This event will also feature guest appearances by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Hige, STRAIGHTENER, The Mirraz, and DJ Hosomi Takeshi.
