An open recording for the 'Snow White and the Huntsman' film based on the Grimm fairy tale of the same name was held in the studio on May 16th, where actors Koyuki and Shiina Kippei (who provide the voices for the main characters of the film) had a talk about the film.

The action-adventure movie is said to have a new story and a bold arrangement to set it apart from the original. It tells the story of heroine Snow White (played by Kristen Stewart) as she fights the evil queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron). Young actor Chris Hemsworth, who drew attention with his role in 'Thor' also appears as a hunter who assists Snow White in her quest.

The open recording included famous scenes including the one with the line "Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" Koyuki, who voices Theron's character Ravenna, commented on how she tackled her latest role. "I worry about how I should convey the way she plays up nuances in English in Japanese," she said.

This is the first time that actor Shiina, who will provide the voice for Hemsworth in the movie, has attempted voice acting. "They say stuff like, 'Cut out the 'well...' and it'll make it a second shorter', and take out other things that you don't really think about when you're acting," he said of his first time recording as a voice actor.

The opening recording was also the first time that the two actors had seen each other in a while. "We had 'baby talk'," said Koyuki, revealing that she had even received child-rearing advice from Shiina.

The movie 'Snow White and the Huntsman' will be released nationwide on June 15th. In the meantime, check out photos from the event below!
