To celebrate the release of her first album "Pamyu Pamyu Revolution", Kyary Pamyu Pamyu held her "Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's Way Way Live & Handshake Event 2012" at Lazona Kawasaki on May 22nd.

Despite the fact that it had been rainy and windy since morning and that the passing showers grew stronger when the event began, Kyary proved her solid popularity when approximately 6,000 fans of the pop sensation packed onto the fifth floor of the venue to see her.

"Hello, I'm Kyary Pamyu Pamyu!"
she called out to the crowd as she made her way onto the stage with the song "Kyary no March" playing, causing the audience to swell with cheers. "Thank you for gathering here in the rain and cold! Why is it raining again!? Who's a rain girl, now?" she said to her fans, recalling her last appearance at Lazona Kawasaki.

The singer had planned a release event for her second single "CANDY CANDY" in April at the very same venue, but the outside live performance had to be canceled due to typhoon-strength rain and heavy winds. Because of this, she was only able to hold the handshake event scheduled for that day.

Despite the terrible weather, the audience danced along with her hit single "Tsukema Tsukeru", and sang with Kyary during her performance of her new song "Minna no Uta", despite the fact that it was their first time hearing the song.

Despite the rain, plenty of fans lined up for the handshake event following her live performance. Some were so happy to see her in person that they shrieked with joy.

"Everyone, thank you so much for being here in the rain. It's cold, so please make sure you don't catch a cold! Listen to my album," she advised her fans as she closed the curtains on her event.

Kyary's first full album "Pamyu Pamyu Revolution" went on sale on May 23rd. New mixes of her songs "PONPONPON", "Tsukema Tsukeru", "CANDY CANDY", and other short best-of medleys have begun distribution as a ringtone. Plans have also been made for distribution through Recochoku and iTunes.
