On May 7th, it was reported that actress Miyazawa Rie (39) will be divorcing her husband, a former professional surfer and businessman.

Miyazawa met her husband back in 2007, and they announced a shotgun wedding in February of 2009. At that time, Miyazawa had commented, "I want to make a family full of originality with him and our child."

According to sources, the reason for their divorce is their busy lifestyles. Miyazawa's husband runs a sunglasses brand in Hawaii, and the couple are reported to have slowly grown distant from each other. Because it became difficult to support each other, Miyazawa suggested that they get a divorce. As for their 2-year-old daughter, Miyazawa will have full parental custody.

During a Sankei Sports interview, Miyazawa's agency commented, "The person who knows isn't here right now, so we don't know."

Miyazawa is expected to hold a press conference after her stage play on May 8th.
