Tortoise Matsumoto has announced that he will be releasing a new album on August 22nd!

The album is currently untitled, and details have not been revealed at this time. However, it will be Matsumoto's first original album in about 2 years since "My Way Highway".

Matsumoto has many tie-ups lined up this year. He's provided his new song, "Muga Muchuu", as the theme song for robot contest 'Robocon 2012', and "Warattemi" has been chosen as the theme for Higashino Keigo's drama series, 'Drama Joker'.

To coincide the album's release, the singer will be holding a nationwide tour starting in November. This time, he will be stopping at 7 locations across Japan for a total of 8 shows.
