Four new TV teasers released for 'Rurouni Kenshin'
On August 10th, four new short teasers for the upcoming live-action adaptation of 'Rurouni Kenshin' - starring Sato Takeru - were released on televisions nationwide.
'Rurouni Kenshin', which was originally serialized in 'Weekly Shonen Jump' from 1994 to 1999, is one of Japan's more famous mangas. The story revolves around 'Himura Kenshin' (Sato), a former legendary assassin known as "Hitokiri Battousai", who becomes a wandering samurai after pledging not to kill again. The movie follows the first two volumes of the manga series.
This adaptation is packed with real action scenes (no use of CGI), a great cast, and lots of drama. Many people cannot wait for the movie to open in cinemas nationwide, and thus, they decided to release four new teasers in order to keep people interested in the meantime, before it hits the big screen. From the great action scenes to the light romance, the teasers try to feature all aspects of the movie.
'Rurouni Kenshin' is scheduled to open in Japan on August 25th, with various advanced screenings taking place starting from the 22nd.
