It's been reported that comedian Yabe Hiroyuki (40) of NINETY-NINE has been hospitalized due to spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung).

According to his agency, Yabe gave a phone call to his manager on September 7 around 9:00 pm reporting that he had been experiencing pain in his chest. Afterwards, he visited a hospital on his own, and he had to be hospitalized immediately. He will be treated with chest tubes, and he's required to be hospitalized for 3 to 5 days.

Yabe's agency commented, "After his discharge, he will return to work while examining his state of recovery."�As such, he will be canceling his appearance from an event on the 9th at Namba Grand Kagetsu. His partner�Okamura Takashi will be appearing as scheduled.
