Popular Johnny�s group Kanjani 8�s single �Aoppana� (released September 5), made a first place debut selling 208,000 copies during their first week of release on the September 17 Oricon Weekly Ranking Chart. This was their 3rd single of their current 8th�anniversary year.
This marks Kanjani 8�s 9th consecutive and total 17th first place placements, and this total includes their single �ER,� which they released under the name of �Eight Ranger�.
Aoppana, along with three other songs, were used as the theme song of TV Asahi�s serial drama �Boys On The Run,� which starred member Maruyama Ryuhei (28).
