On September 9th, actress Shaku Yumiko attended a handshake event for her new photo book titled 'I am Shaku Yumiko', which is her first photo book in ten years.

The actress first made her debut as a gravure idol in 1997 and quickly gained a lot of fans thanks to her excellent figure. She expressed, "It has been 15 years since my gravure debut. Of course, those new swimsuit pictures are primarily for all my male fans, but I also want to show women that you can be way into your thirties and still have a great body."

Shaku continued, "During my twenties, my official profile said that my waist is 58 cm, but it actually was 61~62 cm back then. Now my waist is 56 cm." She proudly added, "My current three sizes are 85, 56, 84."

However, she also once again explained that she didn't achieve her current figure by going through some unreasonable diet. "I'm eating three proper meals every day and since I love alcohol, I'm also treating myself to a drink every evening. I've begun practicing kobudo around a year and a half ago and it helped me strengthen my inner muscles a lot."

In June she turned 34, but she still hasn't found the right man. She commented, "It feels like the time for getting married is ticking away. The past 15 years since my debut has been filled with sour and sweet moments, but finding the right man who can accept me the way I am is rather difficult. He really just has to be a kind and broad-minded person, but right now there is nobody like that in my life..." She continued, "Maybe I should take this photo book along with me when searching for a marriage partner. It should be possible to find someone willing to take me with this." The gathered journalists laughed at her remark.

Further she said, "Those 15 years have passed in a blink of time. I will continue with acting and hope that I can become a nice actress." When asked about a role she would like to try out, she replied, "I've never performed a passionate love scene so far. That's something I'd like to try out. Maybe the wild Sugi-chan can be my partner."

She then faced one of the cameras and called out to him, "Sugi-chan-san. Nice to meet you. I'm Shaku Yumiko. Please recover soon and perform a passionate love scene with me. But before that, please go (oikinasai) and take a look at my photo book." The last part (oikinasai) was the trademark line from the popular live-action drama and movie adaptations of 'Sky High' with Shaku in the starring role.

Popular comedian Sugi-chan recently fractured his thoracic vertebrae, which will take at least three months to recover. However, Shaku's love call might really be able to speed up his recovery.
